I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the United States by myself when I turned 16. I lived in Pasadena, CA and then moved to Sacramento to attend UC Davis. I’ve always been that kid who would stop in the middle of the street and ‘psh psh’ to every stray cat, and zoos and aquariums are the fav places to visit.
Soon enough I realized how passionate I am towards animals and working with animals truly fulfills me and gives me purpose. I chose UC Davis to pursue my animal science degree, with the hope of one day attending veterinary school to become small animal veterinarian.
My first job was at tumor microenvironment lab as a research assistant. After that, I’ve been working at veterinary practice settings, starting from kennel attendant and now as a vet assistant/technician. I currently have 2 pets which I like to call them my sons. Tori, the orange & white DMH… and Poby, the tri-color pomeranian. During my free time, I love to go to the gym, cook, and try new hobbies, currently I’m into ceramics making.
